Pipeline Technical Director

Worked on two different pipeline setups. Was acting Show TD on the first wherein I was responsible for all technical aspects of a show. Have been given the ownership of the lighting workflow in the second setup.

My next major step involved a change in profile as I made the switch to full-time development. Responsibilities included writing & maintaining tools for lookdev, lighting & comp.

Senior Lighting Artist (CGI)
An early promotion resulted in me taking on a more technical role within the department. Besides key lighting, I was tasked with setting up lighting workflows, liasing with the pipeline department and debugging technical issues. I was also tasked with RnD and was given the additional responsibility of delivering test projects. This is when I picked up Python & started writing internal automation tools for lighting.

Lighting Artist (CGI)

My first real move involved switching from VFX to Animation as well. Responsibilities included master lighting of environments, creating character light setups and creating rough comp flows for TV Episodes, Webisodes and DVD Features. Was assigned to train recruits as well. Lighting was done in Maya and V-Ray, comp was done in Nuke.

Nov 2010 - June 2012


Lighting Artist (VFX)

Switched to lighting after training as a wrangler. Worked on TV episodes & a few feature films, but mainly on commercials. Responsibilities included shading, lighting, rendering and rough comps. Lighting was done in Maya and Mental Ray, comp was done in Fusion.

Render Wrangler

My role involved render farm management, data management (transfer, publishing and back-up of renders) and providing support to the lighting artists. Render management was done using Deadline.
